Nothing to worry about but...

Em went into the hospital yesterday for outpatient surgery. At her first appointment with her OB/GYN post partum, it was discovered that not all of the placenta had been removed from the uterus.

Daddy and Z were a bit terrified, but Emily was a trooper, and is now recovering at home. Dad stayed with the family Thursday at the hospital and today at home to take care of his girls. Things are fine after a little initial drama as we tried to figure out the right antibiotic for Emily to use - she's allergic to penicillin and is breastfeeding, which apparently makes it a challenge for the Docs. After a few trips to Walgreens it was all sorted out.

Emily is getting lots of sleep, and I'm getting lots of time with Z - All the nighttime feedings in fact!

Best,

Aaron

I'm so glad to hear that everything went well, but I am sure it was very scary!
